Jordan Eberle calls out the hockey media for false and harmful reports

The Seattle Kraken had a rough season, culminating in the firing of their head coach, Dave Hakstol. Many reports emerged following this move, suggesting that key Seattle Kraken players demanded his firing, but Jordan Eberle has refuted these claims.
Per Jordan Eberle, who has served as an alternate captain for the Seattle Kraken since their inauguration as a team three years ago, this was far from the truth, and the locker room holds Dave Hakstol in very high regard.
These were the initial reports of the tension between the Seattle Kraken locker room and Dave Hakstol:
"What I can tell you is that GM Ron Francis did not want to make this move."
"I was told at the exit meetings with players, there were a handful of players, and pretty significant players, who made it clear to management 'I don't want to play on this team in the future if Dave Hakstol is still the coach. That forced them to make a change."
And these were Eberle's comments in response:
"I was extremely disappointed [by the report].
"By no means did anyone go in with an ultimatum. It's just not how our team operates or how our group operates."
Eberle equally added that he personally has a lot of respect for Hakstol, who brought the team past the Colorado Avalanche in the playoffs last season:
"I felt bad for Hak because we hold him in high regard. And obviously, with the three years that we had, we took a massive step forward last year getting to the second round, and he's a big part of that."
While we may never know the real reason Dave Hakstol is fired, we have certainly learned a lesson in the way the media can make people look bad. Hopefully the people around the Seattle Kraken will be better in the future.
