Mark Stone's wife took a shot at her husband about the LTIR in game four between the Dallas Stars and the Vegas Golden Knights.
A picture was posted on X, showing Hayley Thompson, Mark Stone's wife, alongside a fan wearing a 61 jersey who replaced Stone's name in the back by "LTIR".

Thompson seems to know about the controversy surrounding Stone's health and the Golden Knight's use of that rule to circumvent the cap for the playoffs.
Indeed, in the last three seasons, Stone was placed on the LTIR around the middle of February, a few weeks before the trade deadline, and activated for the first game of the playoffs. The timing here in uncanny.
This season, with Stone's salary being placed on the LTIR, the team managed to get other top players, such as Noah Hanifin and Tomas Hertl, making the Golden Knights one of the team with the most depth in the playoffs.
Even Stone's wife is finding the situation funny, as we saw. This shows the lack of respect that the Golden Knights have towards the rest of the League. They're not afraid to bend the rules in sketchy ways to get another Stanley Cup, which is truly difficult to see for fans accross the NHL.
