The Vancouver Canucks picked up a huge win in game one of their first-round series, but now they may be without one of their biggest stars the rest of the way.

Thatcher Demko missed the last part of the Vancouver Canucks regular season, and now it appears as though that injury has come back to bite him. According to top insiders, Demko will officially miss game two against the Nashville Predators, with his return for the series currently marked as questionable.

Sources tell @DailyFaceoff: #Canucks Thatcher Demko is out for Game 2. His status for the series is questionable.

The team needed every bit of luck and talent to take game one against the Predators, but now they will rely on their backups to get them another three wins as they look to chase their first Stanley Cup.

Hearing Thatcher Demko injured and questionable for rest of series

This is a major blow for the Canucks, and given the talent the Predators have in net with their veteran players up front, this is certainly going to make this a much closer series than many expected.
