The Buffalo Sabres welcomed the Washington Capitals to town tonight as they closed out their home portion of their season. At the end of the game, the two teams went berserk and everyone on the ice fought one another.

In the dying seconds of the game, things got heated between Sabres forward Tage Thompson and Capitals forward TJ Oshie. As a result, the two got into a shoving match that led to them dropping the gloves. Once they dropped the gloves everyone else on the ice decided to join in.

THE CAPS AND SABRES BRAWL AT THE END OF THE GAME

The best scrap to come out of the situation came from none other than Tom Wilson. He and Sabres power forward Jordan Greenway got into a great fight.

The referees would eventually get everyone separated and send the two teams on their way to the locker rooms. The Buffalo Sabres pulled out the win 4-2. With their loss and a Pittsburgh Penguins win the Washington Capitals fell out of a playoff spot.

Despite the loss the Capitals will need to get their minds right to go on a run to finish the season and secure a playoff spot.
