Quinn Hughes is set to join the ranks of NHL legends Paul Coffey and Bobby Orr as he gets closer to an impressive mark.

The Vancouver Canucks finally had their breakout season this year, after many seasons of struggles. The captain of the team, Quinn Hughes, is having the best season of his career so far, with 88 points, including 17 goals, in 78 games.

Over the last three years, in 232 games, he tallied 200 assists. In a three-season span, only two defenseman have reached that mark: Bobby Orr and Paul Coffey.

"Here is the list of defenders who have ever recorded 200 or more assists over a 3 season span:

• Bobby Orr
• Paul Coffey

And now, Quinn Hughes.

He's 24 years old and already BY FAR the greatest defenseman in franchise history."

"Quinn Hughes enters select company. Now has 200 assists over last three seasons. Only others to have 200 or more helpers over a three-year span are Bobby Orr and Paul Coffey. #Canucks"

What's more impressive, is that Hughes is only 24 years old. As he enters his prime, he'll be one of the most interesting player to follow in the coming years.

The Canucks in general should be fun to watch in the upcoming playoffs. In his career, Hughes made it once to the playoffs, where he tallied 16 points in 17 games, during the COVID year.
