1000-Game veteran Alex Goligoski addresses his future in the NHL

Alex Goligoski, the 38-year-old NHL veteran, has recently revealed his future plans for his pro hockey career.

At 38 years old, Alex Goligoski, the veteran Minnesota Wild defenseman can already be considered a senior citizen in the pro hockey world. He is also finishing up his final year of his contract, fans are wondering if Goligoski is considering retirement.

Minnesota is currently sitting at 6th place in the Central Division, and are only 9 points away from a shot at the 2024 NHL Playoffs, many fans have already counted them out of the run for the Playoffs. Goligoski recently addressed the upcoming playoffs, stating:

Goligoski's most recent game was the first he has played in since February 7. He has gotten 9 assists in his 32 games played this season. In a recent interview he discussed his future in the NHL:

Goligoski has scored 87 goals with 387 assists throughout his 1074 games played during his career. He has played for the Dallas Stars, Pittsburgh Penguins, Arizona Coyotes, and most recently, the Minnesota Wild. Goligoski has had an impressive NHL career, but fans are wondering if he really is ready for retirement.
