The SPHL is definitely a league to watch if you're missing big fights in the NHL. In a game Saturday between the Pensacola Ice Flyers and Knoxville Ice Bears, former teammates Travis Armstrong and Colton Heffley decided to drop the gloves in what would turn out to be an excellent fight. Heffley was in complete control of the tilt in the beginning, landing several alternating head and body shots. Armstrong would land a couple of nice punches of his own in the middle, but it was Heffley with the win at the end as he landed a couple more blows and then a big hit that would knock Armstrong to the ice. You can view the full fight in the video below (starts at around 12 seconds in). The second video shows a better angle of the final blow.
According to reports, Armstrong left the ice without needing help, so if he was knocked unconscious, it was just for a couple of seconds. A quick YouTube search will show you that Heffley is a player who likes to drop the gloves often.
