Per Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman, the Boston Bruins have claimed defenceman Jarred Tinordi off waivers from the Nashville Predators.
Tinordi, 29, is pointless in seven games with the Predators this season. The six-foot-six rearguard was taken in the first-round of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft by the Montreal Canadiens but had struggled to get NHL playing time until last season, where he got called up by the Predators half way through the season and has remained with them since.
Tinordi has played a total of 88 career NHL games, in stints with the Habs, Arizona Coyotes, and of course the Predators. He has one goal and 11 points, along with 116 penalty minutes. He has also suited up for nine career playoff games, where he has one assist.
