BREAKING: Mitch Marner's Injury Confirmed

Toronto Maple Leafs forward Mitch Marner was ruled out in his last two games due to an undisclosed injury versus both the Montreal Canadiens and the Philadelphia Flyers. We now have an update regarding his injury and his status.

Maple Leafs reporter stated that Marner has been suffering a high ankle sprain for the last week.

Although fans may seem to be relieved that he did not fracture his ankle, you can argue a high ankle sprain is just as bad as it can become a recurring issue. It would be brutal for the Leafs if they lose out on Mitch Marner for the foreseeable future.

Here's to hoping for the best for number 16.
