It's not very often you see two teams make a trade after the deadline, mostly AHL deals just like this one between the Montreal Canadiens and the New Jersey Devils, making a trade swapping prospects.

Devils and Habs make a trade

The Montreal Canadiens acquired today forward Arnaud Durandeau from the New Jersey Devils in exchange for forward Nathan Legaré.

Minor league deal, Légare was acquired in the Erik Karlsson three way trade between the Sharks, Penguins and Canadiens this summer. Short stint in Montreal, he now has a new chance in New Jersey.
