Reports are coming in this afternoon that confirm legendary forward Phil Kessel is done in the NHL.
Kessel's Legendary Career Comes To An End
Heading into the NHL trade deadline many around the league believed Phil Kessel would sign with the Vancouver Canucks. He had been skating with their AHL team for weeks and looked to be ready to sign. However, reports today are confirming that the Canucks will not be signing Kessel.
With Kessel not being signed by the Canucks he will have nowhere to play the rest of the season. With Kessel out of hockey for over a year by the time the next season starts it is unlikely teams will have an interest. This means we have likely seen the last of Phil Kessel playing in the NHL.
