Bruins Goalie Uses Trade Protection To Shut Down Blockbuster Deal
A report has emerged today that the Bruins had a trade in place for star goaltender Linus Ullmark. However, the goalie has a modified no-trade-clause which gives him a veto for 15 teams in the league. Apparently, the other team involved was on his list, so the goaltender elected to reject the trade.
The #Bruins 🇺🇸 had a deal in place to trade reigning Vezina winner Linus Ullmark 🇸🇪 — but he 'nixed' the deal due to the geography of the team he would've been going to.
NHL insider Kevin Weekes backed up this report on ESPN. The wording has many speculating as to what team was involved, with many suspecting it was a Canadian team due to the reason for the rejection being tied to geography.

That being said, this is still just speculation. Be sure to stay tuned as more updates on this story come out. After all, there is still time before the trade deadline. Perhaps the Bruins will move Ullmark in another deal.
