This NHL insider just revealed that Marc-Andre Fleury could be willing to waive his no-trade clause to be traded to this Canadian team.

Fleury Could Be Willing to Be Traded to Toronto at the Deadline

Marc-Andre Fleury is one of the all-time goaltenders and is coming to the end of his career. With the deadline coming up, and Minnesota likely looking to sell some assets and retool, the question of whether he would be willing to waive his NMC has arisen.

According to insider Pierre LeBrun, Fleury is willing to accept a trade to the Toronto Maple Leafs, should one arise.

RUMORS:

According to reports G Mark Andre-Fleury would be open to considering a trade to the Leafs.

Leafs Could Use Fleury for Leadership in Between the Pipes With Current Goaltending Health Questions

The Leafs have struggled to maintain a healthy starter-backup duo this season, with Ilya Samsonov struggling at the beginning of the year and Joseph Woll going down with an injury. Martin Jones has stepped up in their absence, however, it is hard to imagine the Leafs making a long push with what they currently have in net.

Fleury could be a valuable option to have for the Leafs as they make a push for the playoffs. While it would be a decent-sized risk to bring him in, it could pay off in the long run if one of their goaltenders has an injury resurface, or starts to perform poorly again.

We will see what happens.
