The Boston Bruins are in the market for yet another high-key player. This time, it's none other than Massachusetts native, Keith Yandle. Yandle's name has been thrown around in tons of trade rumors as of late, especially after his iron-man streak almost came to an end in some questionable coaching moves made by Panthers head coach Joel Quenneville.

Yandle's iron-man streak did not come to an end, and he has performed well in his first two games of the season tallying 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists).

Boston lost not one, but two key defenders this past offseason, seeing Torey Krug sign with the St. Louis Blues, along with Zdeno Chara signing with the Washington Capitals. Instead of signing a veteran in free agency or trading for a top-4 defenseman, the Bruins have let their younger defensemen and top prospects battle it out for roles at the NHL level.

This is where Keith Yandle comes in. The team could bolster their blue-line by adding the 34-year-old. Boston has been known to bring in hometown players, including Charlie Coyle. Yandle currently has 2 more years left on a contract with an AAV of $6.35 million.

The Bruins would have to move some cap if a deal was made, but maybe they will continue with their young d-core. If the youngsters slip up, there is some comfort to Bruins fans knowing that a productive player like Yandle could be available to them.
