The good news is that the Toronto Maple Leafs got some redemption on Saturday night as they avenged their Friday night loss to the Senators, coming away with the win in the second half of a back-to-back in Ottawa. The bad news is that they did not leave the game unscathed, as rookie forward Nick Robertson left the game in the first period with knee injury and did not return.

Following the game, Leafs head coach Sheldon Keefe confirmed the 19-year-old sniper is in line for a bit of a layoff, requiring an MRI on his injured knee, according to Sportsnet's Luke Fox.

Robertson skated just 2:20 in the contest, registering one shot on goal before the suffering unfortunate injury following a collision with Sens forward Drake Batherson.

Robertson came into this season with a lot of hype, having made his Leafs debut during the 2019-20 postseason, scoring once in 4 games against the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Prior to arriving in Toronto, Robertson enjoyed a sensational campaign with the Peterborough Petes in the OHL, amassing an astounding 55 goals and 86 points in just 46 games in 2019-20.

Here's hoping that the MRI comes back negative for any structural damage and that Robertson makes a speedy recovery.
