The NHL's Department of Player Safety has announced that Sammy Blais of the St. Louis Blues will have a disciplinary hearing Thursday following the team's 4-1 win over Colorado Wednesday night. Blais was given a minor penalty during the first period for an illegal check to the head of Devon Toews of the Avalanche. Toews would leave the game to get checked out but returned later on. Here's video of the hit.
