Evander Kane Pulls Off a Christmas Miracle for Dozens of Kids

Christmas is the favorite time of year for children all over the world. This year Evander Kane was able to make Christmas extra special for some families in need.

Evander Kane has been known to be a controversial figure and mentor in the hockey community. This year Kane showed a generous and kind side of himself that not many people talk about. Earlier this week Kane took several families shopping for Christmas in the Edmonton area. He took 200 children on a shopping spree.

The kids were allowed to pick out things they wanted without fear of their parents being unable to afford them. Kane also gave each of the children an Edmonton Oilers jersey.

Various athletes throughout the country do these kinds of acts each year. Kane was able to help these families have a bigger Christmas than they were expecting it to be.

Kane has been known to be involved in the local community he plays in during his various stops in his career. Kane even swung a Toronto Maple Leafs fan over to the Oilers. In the video above Kane can be seen trying to convince a young girl to take an Oilers jersey eventually the girl does put the jersey on.

Even though Evander Kane has a complicated history and can be frowned upon as a role model by some no one can question his acts this holiday season. Kane brightened the day and Christmas holiday for so many families that will cherish those memories for a lifetime.
