It was announced Friday by the Saskatoon Blades that Larry Korchinski, who played for the WHL team, had passed away. He is the father of Kevin Korchinski.

Rookie Star Korchinski Mourning Death of his Father
The entire Chicago Blackhawks team attended Korchinski's funeral on Friday, which is a fantastic gesture of behalf of his teammates.
