Last week Barclay Goodrow took a puck off the face which led to a gruesome scene. Today he was able to give an update on what happened and his prognosis.

Goodrow Suffers Gruesome Injury

Last week Barclay Goodrow suffered what looked like a horrific injury against the Ottawa Senators. He looked to lose a tooth or some other part of his mouth in the accident.

Today we finally heard from the man himself on what happened and what it means for his future.

Goodrow Reveals The Gruesome Injury He Suffered

Barclay Goodrow cleared the air on his injury when he spoke with the media. According to Goodrow, no teeth were lost but an odd part of his mouth is now missing.

Barclay Goodrow says he didn't lose any teeth when he took that puck to the face. He spit out some other part of his jaw.

He's doing okay, trying to figure out how to get all his proteins while not being able to eat solid food for a month.

While Goodrow cannot eat solid foods he can play hockey. He later returned to the game against the Ottawa Senators with a clear bubble cage. He will use this while his jaw heals.

Goodrow is the latest example in a long list of hockey players playing through wild injuries.
