Former Top-5 Pick Loses His Cool and Gets Assessed 29 PIMS

Sunday night's game between Columbus and Florida had no shortage of action!

In Sunday afternoon's Eastern Conference matchup between the Panthers and Blue Jackets was a rough one. Former top-5 draft pick Erik Gudbranson was the main instigator, you can see the play below.

After Cousins laid a dirty hit on Gudbranson and was not assessed a match penalty. Gudbranson was clearly very upset with the play and viciously retaliated once he got up.

Through 26 games this season, Gudbranson has looked solid with 2 goals and 7 assists on a bad Columbus Blue Jackets squad.

It's not clear whether any suspensions will follow from this play, more details to come.
