The Legendary Former Chelsea and Arsenal Goalkeeper Shines Up his Skates for EIHL Debut
Petr Cech has been playing semi-professional hockey for a few years now in the United Kingdom. He has been a fan of the game since childhood and was able to live out a dream by playing in his first professional game with the Elite Ice Hockey League.
The Plzen native was on loan to the Belfast Giants this weekend as they were dealing with some injury issues. The 41-year-old made his debut with less then five minutes left in the game against the Glasgow Clan and made one save for the Giants, who won the game.

For twenty years, Cech has been a goalkeeper in the Premier League of Soccer, or more well known in the world as football, with some huge clubs such as Arsenal and Chelsea. He has four Premier League titles under his belt.
In addition to Premier League play, Cech has represented his country of Czech Republic on the international stage including the 2006 FIFA World Cup and three UEFA European Championships.
