Oilers Keen on Seeing Campbell Return to Team As Solution for Goaltending Problem
The Edmonton Oilers are in disaster mitigation mode, as their season struggles continue well into the year. One of their biggest issues is between the pipes, as they sent Jack Campbell down to the minors after a terrible start to the year. This has prompted Oilers fans to call for a major change in net.
However, Elliotte Friedman has revealed that the Oilers are intending to keep Campbell, and have hopes that he will return to the Oilers team. The Oilers have allowed Campbell to work with his former goalie coach Manny Legace who is part of the Blue Jackets organization.

Friedman adds: "I still do believe that its [the Oiler's] first choice to have Campbell rejoin the team and improve his play."
Campbell Searching For His Game in the AHL And Having Some Success
The Oilers are hopeful that Campbell can return to being the goaltender that the Oilers gave a $5 million contract to. While he struggled initially in the AHL, he has seemed to make improvements in his game that will slowly build back his confidence.
