Young Blue Jackets Star to Abandon the NHL Mid-Season

This Young Blue Jackets star is reportedly not enjoying his time in the USA and could return to Russia at a moment's notice.

The Columbus Blue Jackets need all the help they can get right now, as their struggling season continues. However, it doesn't look like things are turning around, as one of their young stars is reportedly not having a good time in Columbus.

Dmitri Voronkov is a talented young forward who hails from Russia. Russian reports have surfaced that Voronkov doesn't like his time in the NHL, and is in contact with Ak Bars of the KHL.

This is unfortunate news for the Blue Jackets and something they need to try and turn around. Voronkov leads the Blue Jackets in points per game and is a promising forward who should have a future in the NHL.

It will be up to the Blue Jackets' executives to determine how they can make Voronkov more comfortable in America and try and help him transition to life in the NHL. If they can't, they are set to lose out on a major prospect.
