BREAKING: Canucks Lose Defenseman for the Rest of the Year

The Vancouver Canucks have been the NHL's biggest surprise team this season, but unfortunately, they've now been dealt a major injury blow to their talented blue line.

On Wednesday, the Canucks announced via social media that Carson Soucy, their veteran defenseman will miss significant time, meaning that he won't be back until the calendar turns to 2024.

While he may not be putting up Quin Hughes numbers, Soucy has put together a solid 5 points in his 13 games thus far, but with their rumoured links to several defenseman, this may just make them more desperate to add to this blue line.

The strength of these team may be their offensive prowess, but it's players like Soucy that have held this blue line together, and if they make improvements and get him back, this will be a very dangerous team.
