At just 19-years of age, Shane Wright's career as a professional hockey player has been a wild ride thus far, and after another stint at the NHL level, it appears he's being demoted once more.

Shane Wright sent back down to the Coachella Valley Firebirds

After being picked No. 4 overall in the 2022 NHL Draft by the Seattle Kraken, Shane Wright was seemingly a lock to join the NHL team shortly thereafter, but since that point, he's spent time in several places.

Firstly it was back to the OHL where he tallied 37 points in just 20 games, and then it was to the AHL with the Coachella Valley Firebirds, with just 8 games at the NHL level before this season.

#SEAKraken have sent down Shane Wright to Coachella Valley (AHL).

After impressing in the AHL, Wright was given another chance in the NHL this season, but unfortunately, after going scoreless in three games, he's now headed back to the AHL.

It's not clear yet what's not clicking with Wright and the Kraken organization, but at 19-years old, he's got a very bright future, and will no doubt become a staple of an NHL roster one day.
