The Columbus Blue Jackets have been a solid team to start the 2023-24 season, but unfortunately, the same can't be said about their biggest star.

In 10 games this season, Johnny Gaudreau has just one goal and five points for Columbus, and it appears things could be getting worse.

In the teams latest loss to the Washington Capitals, Gaudreau was benched for the final 16 minutes of the game, a major message sent to their biggest star.

However, we saw over several years in Calgary that he's more than capable of being the game breaker the Blue Jackets thought they were signing, so they will be hoping that this move can motivate him and Patrick Laine to get going and fire the way many expected.
