Tragic Report Emerges That Adam Johnson Has Passed Away

Former Penguins defenseman Adam Johnson passed away tonight after he took a skate to the throat in a game in the EIHL, England's top pro league.

The Nottingham Panthers of the EIHL had to suspend their game today and evacuate the building after Adam Johnson, former Penguins defenseman suffered a mortal wound on the ice. The news comes from the NHL news updates account on Facebook, which posted the following image.

Johnson was 29 years old. He played 13 games for the Penguins scoring a goal and three assists in his brief NHL career. The Hockey world will be holding Johnson and his family in out hearts tonight. Rest in peace Adam.
