Pride Tape to be Allowed During Games and Practices to Support Social Causes
The PR disaster that the NHL created by banning pride tape was like no other. Now, about two weeks after the official ruling, and strong words from star players like Connor McDavid and Cale Makar, the league has changed its rule.
There is word the NHL, NHLPA and NHL Player Inclusion Coalition have agreed that players will have the option to represent social causes with stick tape throughout the season. This includes games and practices

It is nice to see that the NHL was able to swallow its pride (excuse the pun) and change this ruling. It would have been better, however, if they had never made it in the first place.
