For the next three weeks, Santa Clara County in Northern California has placed a ban on contact sports, and as mentioned in one of our articles yesterday, it could have an impact on the San Jose Sharks training camp.

The San Jose Sharks have come out on Monday with a statement regarding the new guidelines in place for contact sports.

It appears that some players have been training in San Jose on a voluntary basis, while maintaining social distancing, and following the county's guidelines.

Other sports have been impacted by the new restrictions as well. The San Francisco 49ers of the NFL have been forced to move their next two home games to State Farm Stadium, home of the Arizona Cardinals.

Should the NHL and NHLPA come to an agreement on a timeline for training camps, and if they plan to play starting on January 1st, the Sharks will more than likely have to move their training camp to an alternate location, until the new restrictions are lifted.
