McDavid Confirms His Injury Live on Air
After last night's game, many are speculating on the extent of McDavid's injury. Now, we may have some more information, as he was caught on camera describing his injury to the Oilers' training staff.
McDavid Potentially Tears Something in Game Against Jets
All eyes were on McDavid last night at the end of the Oilers-Jets game and during overtime, and unfortunately for Oilers fans, those eyes were pointed at the bench. McDavid missed the end of the third and all of overtime after suffering from an injury. The suspected non-contact injury appears to have occurred as McDavid was skating up the ice.
While we do not know for sure what the extent of the injury is, McDavid appeared to say to the Oilers' training staff that he tore something.
It's unlikely that even McDavid could diagnose himself this quickly, and without sound, it's impossible to know what was truly said. However, this does give some insight into how McDavid was feeling during the incident.
McDavid Tried to Skate Between the Third and Overtime But Wasn't Feeling Good
it wasn't without effort on McDavids part that he missed the rest of the game, as he tried to skate between the third period and overtime. However, something must have continued to feel off, as he did not return to the ice after the test skate. Oilers' head coach also commented on the injury after the game.
He added he hasn't spoke to trainers yet.
A 1-3–1 start and potential McDavid injury. Couldn't imagine a worse start for the Oilers.
