Sometimes, spectators get way too into the sport they are watching. Such was the case this weekend as a fan decided to jump from the stands and challenge a player to fight during a game between two teams in Finland's third-tier men's ice hockey league. A game was taking place between AHK and the Uplakers when two players one the ice decided to drop the gloves. Following the fight, both were headed to their respective dressing rooms when a couple of fans started jaw-jacking with one of the players involved in the fight. He must have said something they didn't like because on of them started towards the aisle to confront him, while the other decided to take a shortcut. Check it out. You can skip ahead to 1:05 to see the incident with the fan immediately.
Unfortunately, the video does not follow the spectator to the back so there's no way of knowing whether a fight broke out between him and the hockey player, although one can easily assume that was the case. According to comments posted to Reddit, the police are investigating the incident and charges are likely to be laid, along with a lifetime ban from the arena. Another commented that most games from this league are very civil and this appears to be a one-off incident.
