Two former first-round picks who were claimed off of waivers have been placed on waivers a second time by their new teams.
Thomson and Denisenko Hit Waivers Again
Waivers have just been announced for Sunday, October 8th and of those who have hit waivers, Lassi Thomson and Grigori Denisenko have been placed on waivers a second time.

Lassi Thomson (ANA) and Grigori Denisenko (VGK) are on waivers. Both recent claims
Thomson was originally the 19th overall pick in 2019 by the Ottawa Senators and was placed on waivers by the Senators earlier only to be claimed by the Ducks. If Thomson's display with the Ducks during the preseason, they were clearly not impressed as they have placed Thomson on waivers yet again.
Denisenko was originally the 15th overall pick in the 2018 draft by the Florida Panthers and was claimed by the Vegas Golden Knights. Denisenko had a very brief stint before being placed on waivers.
Now we will wait and see if either is claimed for a second time, potentially by the teams that originally drafted them.
Will either of these players get claimed a second time?
