There have been several big names placed on waivers including young former first-round picks and veterans.

There have been many players placed on waivers today including many big names.

Here is the list:

Lassi Thomson was the 19th overall pick in the 2019 NHL draft and has yet to stick in the NHL. Greg McKegg has played 233 career games but has not played an NHL game since 2021-22. There is also Nic Beaudin who was a first-round pick in 2018 as well.
