Kane Back Skating Following Injury
Patrick Kane, still a Free Agent, is once again practicing on the ice, taking the first step to recovery. In a video posting by Kane's Agency, CAA Hockey, Kane is seen hitting the ice, showcasing him both skating and working out as he hits the road to recovery.

Kane, who was traded to the New York Rangers after spending his entire career with the Chicago Blackhawks, had gotten hip surgery in the offseason, sidelining him with a projected 4-6 month healing time, meaning Kane would miss the start of the regular season.
Kane looks to have barely missed a beat from CAA's video, looking healthy and close to NHL ready, although Kane isn't rushing his timeline, wanting to be at 100%. Many teams expected to be in the NHL Playoff race will certainly be looking at signing Kane, a 3x Stanley Cup Champion, and former Hart Trophy winner, as an addition when he's ready to play.
On TSN's Insider Training, insiders Darren Dreger & Chris Johnston affirmed that Kane's agent, Pat Brisson, is already hearing interest for the 34-year-old, but a formal interview may have to wait until mid-October.
With the Blackhawks in a transitional period, both longtime Blackhawks lifers Kane are both gone and on the market, with 2023 1st Pick Connor Bedard now the star of the show in Chicago, with a similar game to Kane. Still a talented player in his own right, last season for the Blackhawks and Rangers, Kane had 21 Goals, 36 Assists & 57 Points in 73 Games, as well as 6 Points in 7 Games for New York.
