Alex Galchenyuk surprised everyone by signing a contract in the KHL, months after being arrested in Arizona and parting ways with the Coyotes.

Given his current situation, SKA is already doing Galchenyuk a major favor by letting him play with them.

Not only that, we just learned that Galchenyuk will play on the team's first line.

This could be Galchenyuk's last chance at playing professional hockey.

He closed so many doors in America by getting arrested that the KHL was his last resort.

If he doesn't perform well or if he's involved in another controversy, don't be surprised if he decides to hang up his skates and call it a career.
