Anton Khudobin has left the NHL in hopes of playing in Europe but it may have not gone exactly according to plan.
Khudobin To Sign In VHL
Recently, reports have emerged showing that Anton Khudobin, is returning to Europe to finish out his career. Many thought he would sign in the KHL but unfortunately for Khudobin, he could not find a KHL team in need of his services and he will have to settle for the VHL (Russian AHL).

Sounds like Anton Khudobin will start the season with Sokol Krasnoyarsk (VHL)
His agent has been actively talking to KHL teams, but couldn't come to an agreement
No contract announcement yet, but it should include a clause that will allow for termination if he gets a KHL offer
Khudobin's NHL Career
Khudobin has bounced around the NHL playing primarily as a backup for the Minnesota Wild, Boston Bruins, Carolina Hurricanes, Anaheim Ducks, Dallas Stars, and the Chicago Blackhawks.
He spent the majority of last season in the AHL where he was solid. He is known for being one of the smaller goaltenders in the NHL at 5'11" but his elite athleticism allowed him to have an NHL career.
He will now try to work his way up from the VHL to the KHL and hopefully earn his KHL contract.
Did Anton Khudobin ever play for your team?
