It was just announced by the Tampa Bay Lightning that they have extended forward Brandon Hagel to an 8-year extension.
We've signed forward Brandon Hagel to an eight-year contract extension worth an AAV of $6.5 million.
Hagel is coming off a career year where he scored 30 goals and 64 points playing in the Lightning's top six.
He is 24 years old and was originally a 6th-round pick of the Buffalo Sabres. He was traded from the Blackhawks to the Lightning back during the 2021-22 season.
