Devils Reportedly Deep in Trade Talks for a Particular Superstar Defenseman
The Devils are reportedly asking about the availability of one of the brightest young superstars in the NHL.
The Devils Looking To Add A Third Hughes
The New Jersey Devils are a powerhouse team right now after a successful rebuild and are looking to make their team even stronger with the trade discussions they are currently involved in.
Per Eklund from HockeyBuzz.com, the Devils are interested in Quinn Hughes.
The Devils have plenty of assets they could offer to Vancouver to make a deal work if they decide they truly want to pull the trigger on acquiring Hughes.
Mock Trade
Quinn Hughes is coming off of a monster playmaking season where he scored 76 points in 78 games with 69 of his points being assists. At only 23 years old, he holds an immense amount of trade value.

Simon Nemec (2022 2nd OA pick)
Dawson Mercer
Alexander Holtz (2020 7th OA pick)
These assets New Jersey would be sending back to Vancouver are all young and promising with the oldest of the three players being Holtz who was born in early 2002.
With a player of Hughes' caliber and the prospect of reuniting the three brothers, the Devils would need to overpay but in doing so they unlock a level of chemistry not seen in the NHL often.
