Vladimir Tarasenko drew interest from all around the NHL before signing in Ottawa.

Tarasenko Signs In Ottawa

Earlier today, it was announced that the Ottawa Senators signed Vladimir Tarasenko to a one-year deal.

The deal is worth $5 million and comes with a full movement clause.

Tarasenko Denied Multiple Teams

Tarasenko obviously got a lot of interest league-wide after scoring 50 points in 69 games and scoring 82 in 75 a year prior. It was just revealed which teams these are.

Tarasenko reportedly skipped out on Carolina, Florida, and San Jose to sign with the Senators.

The Panthers are coming off of a Stanley Cup finals run which saw them fall short. They were looking to add Tarasenko to bolster their offense which stalled in the finals.

The Hurricanes also made the Eastern Conference Finals and were beat out by the Panthers on their quest for the cup. They were rumored to be front runners for Tarasenko before he switched agents.

Finally, the Sharks finished near the bottom of the league. If they had signed Tarasenko, it would have been for more money but would have meant that Tarasenko would not be able to compete as much given how the Sharks finished fourth to last.
