Erik Haula has publicly dissed one of his former teams after being photographed wearing something disrespectful.
Haula's Rocky Relationship
After being drafted in the 7th round of the 2009 NHL draft, Erik Haula worked his way up to becoming an NHL regular.
Throughout his 10-year NHL career, Haula has played for 7 franchises but appears to have finally found stability in New Jersey.
The Carolina Hurricanes acquired Haula in the summer of 2019 after trading Nicolas Roy to Vegas in exchange for Haula with the anticipation of Haula being a good middle-six player for them.
Haula delivered as a middle six player by posting 22 points in 41 games but the Hurricanes unceremoniously dealt him to the Florida Panthers as a part of the package that brought them Vincent Trocheck.
Since this, the Hurricanes have bounced him out of the playoffs with the Predators, Bruins, and Devils most recently.
Haula Delivers A Diss
Recently, friendship bracelets have become a trend for athletes to be gifted by fans. Some choose to wear them while others decide to collect them or simply throw them out.
Haula was photographed wearing a friendship bracelet that says "canes suck" throwing a massive diss at the franchise and exposing his true feelings.
While their relationship was far from perfect, for Haula to continue to berate the franchise shows how he feels like he was truly wronged. He will continue to look for revenge with the Devils over the next three years where he can be expected to do his all to knock the Hurricanes out of their quest for the cup.
