Going from Zdeno Chara to Patrice Bergeron has given the Bruins over 15 years of high-end leadership. Both Chara and Bergeron have been icons of respect and classiness, and they have led the Bruins to a lot of success.

With the Bergeron era seemingly coming to an end, it appears the Bruins have chosen their next captain. While they could have chosen franchise star winger David Pastrnak, or #1D Charlie McAvoy, it seems now that they have rightfully chosen the infamous Brad Marchand.


Marchand may not have the quiet class of Bergeron, but he is certainly a leader, and he is one of the toughest players to match up against in the entire league.

In a viral social media post, a user pointed out a mysterious picture the Bruins shared to their Instagram story. It shows Marchand alone on the ice, with the '👀' emoji.

Upon zooming in on Marchand, the letter on his jersey doesn't quite look like an 'A'.



Could the Bruins be dropping a massive hint here? The next chapter in Boston may have just begun.
