In hockey, it takes years for a player to reach his full potential. When a young player is very good, one can only think about how good he'll be when he gets older.
Today, a tweet from a scout made us question if Hurricanes' Sebastian Aho will reach his full potential next season.
Aho was drafted in 2015, and he has already completed his seventh NHL season of his career.
Everyone can agree that Aho has been impressive since he joined the NHL. He's a complete player; there's no doubting it. He's good defensively and offensively, but has he reached his full potential yet?
Cam Robinson seems to think so.
"2023-24 seems like the time Sebastian Aho finally breaks through and becomes a triple-digit, all-world player.
Carolina will lock him up for under 10M long-term this summer and then just cackle away at the value."
Aho's Contract
Aho will be a free agent next summer, but the Canes will probably give him an extension before the start of this season, as reported by Robinson.
According to him, that would be a profitable move for Carolina.
If he becomes as talented as he could be, he could earn way more than $10 million. That's why the Canes want to sign him now.
Do you think Aho will reach his full potential next season?
