Crazy Proposed Trade Would Send Trevor Zegras to Join Former Teammate in the East

The Anaheim Ducks hold the coveted second overall pick in this years' draft, and they will inevitably acquire a franchise player.

This new pick, likely Adam Fantilli, will start a new era in Anaheim, and it could mean they are looking to start fresh. With Trevor Zegras needing a new contract, could the Ducks be exploring all of their options?

The Montreal Canadiens also hold a high-end draft asset in the fifth overall pick, but the organization is reportedly torn on who to pick.

With that in mind, they could look to make a blockbuster trade for a more established young piece.

That young piece being best friends with star winger Cole Caufield certainly can't hurt, and Trevor Zegras' skillset could be a fun add in Montreal.

This mock trade would send Zegras to Montreal in exchange for the fifth overall pick and up-and-coming offensive defenseman Jordan Harris.

This could be a phenomenal win-win for both sides, as the Ducks could draft Fantilli and another star young piece, and the Habs could propel into contention sooner.
