Niklas Backstrom has officially been hired as the Goaltending Coach of the Blue Jackets.

An Experienced Goalie
In his 10-season NHL career from 2006 to 2016, he played for the Minnesota Wild and Calgary Flames. The 45-year-old goaltender recorded an impressive 196-144-50 record. He maintained a 2.49 goals-against average (GAA) and a .914 save percentage (SV%) with 28 shutouts in 413 games played.
