Tyler Bertuzzi's Contract Expectations Have Been Revealed

Tyler Bertuzzi is arguably the top UFA on the market and he expects to get paid like he is.

The 2023 UFA class is one of the weakest ones in recent memory. Headlined by the likes of Tyler Bertuzzi and Damon Severson, it is quite lackluster.

With that being said, the top players will certainly be overpaid. Today, it was revealed what Bertuzzi is expecting to make on the open market.

$7 million for a player like Bertuzzi is quite pricy but considering the style of game he plays, a blend between Matthew Tkachuk and Tom Wilson, he is more valuable than his production suggests.

Just last year, he posted 30 goals and 62 points in 68 games. While he regressed this past season, he scored 10 points in 7 playoff games which shows how valuable a player like Bertuzzi is in the playoffs.

With what Matthew Tkachuk is doing right now with Florida, a team competing will certainly want to overpay for a Diet-Tkachuk in Bertuzzi.
