It was a scary scene last night when Minnesota Wild top prospect Kyle Masters
was stretchered off the ice in the Memorial Cup Round Robin.
The right-handed defenseman threw up a point-per-game in the WHL this season, and was a staple for the Kamloops Blazers.
The Kamloops Blazers, WHL, and CHl came together to provide a positive update on Masters' status.
Following his injury during the May 28th Memorial Cup game, Kyle Masters
was removed from the ice by stretcher. He was fully awake and moving all of his extremities and was transported to the Royal Inland Hospital emergency department for further evaluation.
Thank you to the Blazers and Peterborough's medical staff and BCAS paramedics for their medical care on the ice.
We will see if Masters can return before the end of the tournament, as Kamloops fights to win the Memorial Cup at home.
