Flyers GM Daniel Briere has confirmed he is listening to offers for Carter Hart. A Hart trade could potentially shape the future of the NHL.

Carter Hart was once viewed as the savior of hockey in Philadelphia. While he has had a bumpy career thus far, he has shown progression for the most part since breaking into the NHL in 2018.

The Flyers have depth galore at the goalie position and may be in a situation where they can trade Hart for a king's ransom.



The Flyers currently have Hart, Felix Sandstrom, Samuel Ersson, Alexei Kolosov, and Ivan Fedotov at the goalie position. Each one of those players has played or is projected to play NHL games.

There will be many teams interested in Hart's services but the two I expect to pursue Hart the most are Buffalo and Edmonton. Buffalo is an elite goalie away from being contenders while if Edmonton got stable goaltending behind Connor McDavid, they could be cup favorites.
