BREAKING: Dougie Hamilton Has Surgery
The New Jersey Devils star defenseman just had wrist surgery, and will be out until the start of the 2023-24 season, according to James Nichols.
While this won't affect the Devils since it's in the offseason, it's hard not to wonder if he'll be able to come back and play at the same level. Wrist injuries are hit or miss. Jonathan Drouin had 2 wrist surgeries for example, and he was never the same since.
We'll have to see. One thing we know for sure is that the Devils do not lack in defensive depth. So if Hamilton is out longer than expected, they'll be just fine.
