Police Respond to Serious Threat at Florida Airport from a Hurricanes Fan
Hockey is a sport that brings out the competitiveness in players when they play it. The same can be said for fans, although they aren't limited to playing on the ice. Sometimes fans take it way too far.
The Incident
One Hurricanes fan wasn't too happy when his team went down 2-0 last night. Instead of ranting to his friends and family, he decided to take to social media, threatening the Florida airport:
The police soon after came to the airport, in case the fan decided he wanted to act on his threats.
It's important to be very careful with what you say online, because jokes can be taken as threats very easily. On top of that, he could be wasting a police officers time. They could be doing something more important like saving a life instead. Just because you're mad your team lost doesn't mean you need to be violent.
