After hanging up the skates, Hainsey has gone to work with the NHLPA where he just received a massive promotion. This promotion has Hainsey as one of the top dogs at the NHLPA.

Hainsey, who was crucial in the hiring of the current executive director, Marty Walsh, received this promotion after Walsh and Hainsey continued to perform well.

Throughout Hainseys career, he was able to face adversity head-on and will continue to do so with the NHLPA.
